The architectural practice ac.ka is working cross-scale on projects from urban planning and building design to interior and object design. The practice is in charge of the full planning process until realization and works for diverse public and private clients. In cooperation with Chinese partners, we recently won a competition for the design of two road-pedestrian bridges in China.
We provide a planning process driven by design with the main focus on realizing a highly user-oriented, coherent spatial solution based on the local conditions. This includes programmatic, climatic, ecological as well as technical aspects. Accordingly, form, room layout and a material scheme are developed in a digital 3d-model optimizing the interaction of these aspects.
Our aim is to create synergies that generate individual and adaptable solutions with a spatial and functional added value. An interlocking spatial-, structural-, lighting-, and climate concept increases the spatial qualities, optimizes the use of materials, avoids interface problems and reduces operating costs.
Our office integrates different disciplines and has extensive expertise in the field of 3d computer-aided design, visualization and manufacturing techniques. We can rely on an international network of specialists to set up a team of engineers providing structural engineering, climate engineering or MEP. This network brings best expertise together and offers an effective workflow.
